What is the CortexaNote Recorder?
The CortexaNote Recorder is a wearable microphone designed to work with CortexaNote to capture clinical conversations and sync them to the CortexaNote app for transcription.
The recorder is intended to help clinicians document sessions more efficiently while staying focused on the conversation.

Web browser support is not available at this time. The CortexaNote Recorder must be connected through the CortexaNote mobile app.

Before you start
Before setting up your recorder, make sure:
You have downloaded the CortexaNote mobile app.
You are signed in to your CortexaNote account.
Your recorder is charged.
Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
The CortexaNote app has the required Bluetooth permissions.
Your recorder is near your mobile device.
The CortexaNote Recorder pairs with the CortexaNote app. Do not pair the recorder through your phone's or tablet’s Bluetooth settings.
Charging your recorder
Before using your recorder for the first time, place it in the charging case and make sure it has enough battery.
If the charging case battery is low, connect the case to a power source using the included USB-C cable.
A fully charged recorder helps prevent connection or recording issues during setup.
How do I turn on the CortexaNote Recorder?
Press and hold the power button on the side of the recorder for two seconds. A blinking white light means the recorder is on and ready for pairing. To turn the recorder off, press and hold the power button again for two seconds.
How do I pair my CortexaNote Recorder?
Before pairing, make sure that:
Your recorder is charged.
Your recorder is powered on.
The LED is blinking white.
Your recorder is near the mobile device with the CortexaNote app.
To pair your recorder:
Open the CortexaNote mobile app.
Sign in to your account.
Navigate to My Devices > Add Device.
Follow the instructions shown in the app.
Keep the recorder near your mobile device until pairing is complete.
If you don't have a recorder linked to your account, CortexaNote will automatically prompt you to connect to the page.
Unlinking your recorder
Before unpairing, remember to sync any outstanding sessions. After you unlink your recorder, all recordings on the device will be wiped.
To remove your recorder:
Navigate to My Devices.
Connect the recorder you want to unlink.
Select View Device Details.
Select Unbind or reset device.
Select Unbind and erase CortexaNote content...
Confirm you want to unlink your device.
If your recorder does not appear during setup, see Connectivity Issues.
Do not pair the recorder through your device's Bluetooth settings; instead, it will connect automatically when the pairing process is completed.
What happens after pairing?
After your recorder is paired, it will appear in the mobile app under your CortexaNote devices.
When the recorder is connected, the LED will show a solid white light. This means the recorder is connected and ready to use.
You can now use the recorder to capture sessions through CortexaNote.
