Can I use CortexaNote offline?

The CortexaNote Recorder and app will continue to record without an internet connection. While offline, CortexaNote cannot sync sessions or generate transcripts and notes.

Once your device reconnects to the internet:

  • Your completed sessions will begin syncing.

  • CortexaNote will process the recordings.

  • Transcripts and notes will begin generating.

If your internet connection is interrupted, recording can continue locally and will sync after your connection is restored.

Recording offline with the CortexaNote Recorder

When the recorder is turned on but not connected to the CortexaNote app, its LED will blink white.

To record while offline:

  1. Press the power button once.

  2. Confirm that the LED turns solid red, indicating that recording is in progress.

  3. Conduct your session as usual.

  4. Press the power button once when the session is complete.

  5. Bring your recorder near your device when an internet connection is available.

  6. Allow the recorder to connect to your app and sync its recordings.

Recording offline with the mobile app

To record through the mobile app while offline:

  1. Open the CortexaNote app.

  2. Select the + button at the bottom-right corner.

  3. Choose the microphone you want to use.

  4. Start and complete the session as usual.

  5. Once your session is over, stop the recording.

  6. Reconnect your device to the internet. Your recordings will begin syncing automatically.

When your device is offline, your new session and any previous sessions will not appear in the app. They will become available again when your device reconnects to the internet.
