Custom vocabulary
Add specialized terms, names, abbreviations, and medical terminology to improve recognition and consistency in your notes.
To manage your vocabulary, navigate to:
Settings > Vocabulary
Visit Language
Choose the language spoken during the visit and used for generated notes.
You can find and adjust the language settings inside your visit. You must set your input language before starting your visit.
CortexaNote supports different languages for transcription and note generation.
Care-recipient terminology
Choose how CortexaNote refers to the person receiving care in your notes, such as "patient" or "client."
To find this setting, go to:
Settings > Defaults > Language & spelling
Level of detail
Choose how much information CortexaNote includes in your generated notes.
Brief: Produce concise notes that cover the most important information.
Standard: Produces a balanced level of detail.
Detailed: Produces more comprehensive notes with additional visit details.
Super Detailed: Produces the most comprehensive notes, including additional context, supporting details, and more complete documentation from the visit.
Visit defaults
Save your preferred settings so they're applied automatically to new visits. To improve your workflow, we recommend setting your defaults for regular use.
To set your default settings, navigate to:
Settings > Defaults
Default language
You can set your primary visit language here.
When using English for your visit, you can choose your preferred regional spelling:
American English
British English
Australian English
You can also configure the default terms used to refer to yourself and the person receiving care.
Default Scribe
Choose the AI scribe that will be selected automatically for new visits.
Your default scribe determines how CortexaNote generates your notes, including the template, documentation style, and other note-generation preferences. Setting a default helps ensure a consistent output across all of your visits.
