Before recording
Prior to recording a patient visit using CortexaNote, please obtain explicit consent from the patient and any other individuals who may be recorded. Clearly inform them that CortexaNote will record the conversation and generate clinical documentation.
What if my patient doesn't consent?
If a patient does not consent to being recorded, refrain from using CortexaNote during the visit. Instead, proceed with your standard procedures and documentation practices.
If a patient withdraws their consent during a recording, promptly stop the recording and continue the remainder of the session in accordance with standard procedures. After the visit, please delete the session or manage it as directed by your organization's policies.
