CortexaNote can suggest codes based on the information captured in your session transcript. Suggested codes are intended to support your workflow and should be reviewed before use in documentation.

Before you start

Before using coding, make sure it's enabled.

To enable coding:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Coding.

  2. Turn on the code set you want to use.

Using coding

To use coding, open a note tab from any session. In the lower-right corner of your notes, open the coding option.

Then select Generate codes at the upper right. CortexaNote will automatically suggest codes based on the generated notes when suggestions are available. If you find a code you want to use, select Accept.

After you've added a code, it will appear with your notes. You can learn more about the code by hovering over the code and selecting the info button.

To see where CortexaNote is getting the recommended codes, select 'View in notes,' and CortexaNote will highlight the part in the notes where the code was recommended.

Adding a code manually

If none of the suggested codes are what you're looking for, you can add one manually.

  1. Select Add code in the upper-right corner.

  2. Search for the code you want.

  3. Select Apply on your desired code.

Removing a code

To remove a code:

  1. Hover over the code you want to remove.

  2. Select Remove.
