What is dictation?
Dictation allows you to turn your spoken words into text.
Unlike transcription, which records and processes a full session, dictation converts your speech into text as you speak. You can use dictation to add details, edit notes, or write additional content without typing.
Dictate vs. Transcribe
Transcription records a full session and creates a transcript from the full conversation.
Dictation converts your speech into text immediately and is best for writing or editing shorter pieces of content.
Use transcription when you want to capture a full appointment. Use dictation to add or edit text using your voice.
